Trust

I’ve been in New York City for short time; August 10, 2011. Being that I am from Indiana, I had all of these ideas or limiting beliefs about myself as I relate to New York City. Adjusting was hard, learning to trust myself was a process.

Second-guessing

The first mind, in my experience has always been the right one. When ever I have gone with the second-guess, I have always paid dearly for it. Despite this fact, when I came to New York City I found myself second-guessing myself anyway. Why did I do that?

Insecurity

I felt extremely insecure when I got here. I had a limiting belief that because I talked different (slow) and was from Indiana, I was slower than the average New Yorker. I felt that I lack the street smarts; I perceived I needed to survive in New York. Because of that limiting belief, I made many mistakes.

Holding on to that limiting belief or believing as I did, did not make me make better decisions. Instead, I made a few mistakes. Okay I made many mistakes.
